The best breakfast in Dubai

For the best of the best, we think these breakfasts in Dubai are impossible to beat. Whether you’re looking for avocado on toast or a stack of syrup covered pancakes, these top-notch spots in the heart of the UAE are sure to serve up something to your liking.

Baker & Spice

Why: Known for its sustainable and locally-sourced food, Baker & Spice has multiple locations across the Middle East that serve up completely homemade dishes. During the growing season (October - May) all the vegetables come from local organic farms, meaning that your breakfast is going to be delicious, healthy, and environmentally-friendly. It has an expansive breakfast menu, so we recommend checking out something that uses the fresh produce - perhaps the fresh fruit and granola or the Signature Shakshouka.

Clinton St. Baking Co.

Why: Born in New York City, Clinton St. Baking Co. became famous for its pancakes - and luckily for those in the UAE, the Dubai location maintains the quality the company became famous for. Though Clinton St.'s Classic American 'comfort food' cuisine may not be the healthiest, it certainly is delicious. This spot is part bakery (so you could always snag something small on your way out the door to snack on later), and part family-style sit-down restaurant, so it's ready to satisfy all your breakfast cravings. And while the pancakes may be the most popular option on the menu, there are also loads of other fun options, such as the Buttermilk Biscuit Sandwich with scrambled eggs, melted cheddar cheese, homemade tomato jam, and hash browns. Yum.

Though you probably already guessed it from the name, this spot serves up everything with eggs - and though it's famous for its eggs benedict, the menu is huge and provides much more than your standard breakfast fare. So whether you're here for an omlette, a burger, a salad, or a pizza, this joint will satisfy your greatest eggspecations (sorry).

Jones Social claims-to-fame is its open-fire grill, which imbues all its food with a distinctive taste and texture. There is a fun breakfast menu that deserves a shout on this list simply for the french toast, which is a crème anglaise brûlée brioche with maple, vanilla mascarpone, hazelnut crumble, and fresh berries.

At.Mosphere

Why: Located a whopping 422 meters off the ground on level 122 of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, At.Mosphere's menu clearly matches its extravagent setting. Pick between the 'Decadence' or A La Carte menus, and peruse options like the Tagiasche Olives Charcuterie plate with Wagyu beef cold cuts, or the Lobster Eggs Benedict with brown butter hollandaise and truffle. Clearly this is a place to book far in advance and to save up for, but certainly the view of Dubai as it wakes up is worth the price.

Cafe Society

Why: If you ever want to feel like you're in The Great Gatsby at 9 in the morning, Cafe Society is certainly the place to go. Some inventive dishes off past breakfast menus include the Parmasean truffle eggs with spiced chutney and potato hash sliders; the spicy tuna toast with gochujang, hazelnuts, broad beans, and a soft egg; or the cheesesteak bagel with bulgogi beef, provolone, rocket, and a red pepper ezme.

Why: 11 Woodfire is a wildly popular grill restaurant, yet the breakfast menu never gets quite the amount of attention that it deserves. Fans of the roasted meat and veggies at dinnertime will be pleased to know that the theme is continued in the morning hours, in the form of dishes like the salted cod and chorizo stew with piquillos peppers and egg confit, or the beef cheeks eggs Benedict with hollandaise. Though the breakfast menu is not nearly as long as some of the other restaurants on this list, it has a creative and distinctive style that certainly will provide a new taste for experienced breakfasters.
