There are plenty of places to grab a great meal in Dubai but Argentinian steak houses aren’t the kinds of restaurants you find on every corner. It’s this rarity that makes The Grill Pit so alluring, with its sleek interiors and menu inspired by the flavours of Argentina. It’s based on a traditional parrilla grill style restaurant, with it looking to evoke the feeling of a gaucho ranch out on the planes of South America.
Meat is treated to the Asado technique, where cuts are cooked low and slow over fire to produce wonderfully tender, flavourful results, perfumed with wood smoke and the char of the grill.
Ingredients here are key too, with dry-aged cuts of meat sourced for guests, alongside a selection of line-caught seafood, ensuring plates are packed with flavour. Kick things off with traditional empanadas – either beef, green olive, spring onion and egg or ricotta cheese and spinach – before moving on to starters like salmon and caviar leche de tigre or arepa de pollo.
For mains, steaks are a must. Cooked to your liking, you have the choice of various cuts like tomahawk, striploin and even a wagyu rib eye. Each comes with your choice of sauce and can be topped with luxurious ingredients like foie-gras or king prawns for a supplement.
There are also a whole host of special events and evenings on throughout the week, to give guests a taste of The Grill Pit for less. Every Thursday you can take advantage of the Tickle Your Ribs offer which allows guests to tuck into a whole kilo of menltingly soft beef short ribs for just AED149 per person. Other offers include 25% off the bill every Friday between 7-10pm and the famous Churrascaria Night which is on every Saturday night with a deal of one side dish and one caipirinha for AED149 each.
