Found in the Dubai Mall outpost of The Address, a luxury hotel group with locations across the city, Karat is a smart lobby lounge on the ground floor of the hotel that acts as a focal point for the entire complex.
Karat is best suited to low-key socialising and relaxation, with the space able to accommodate for everything from casual business meetings to pre- or post-shopping meals. Dining here feels like paying a visit to someone’s luxury living room, with the space feeling opulent yet cosy. Inside, you will find a neutral colour palette of different shades of browns and greys, including plush grey carpet and chic wood-panelled walls. There are a few pops of colour too though, provided by tub chairs in a shade of scarlet red, as well as royal blue scatter cushions strewn along the couches.
The menu at Karat is perfect for the kind of casual meal that can be enjoyed quickly or lingered over via a few glasses of Champagne. Guests are able to choose from a tempting selection of vibrant salads, filling sandwiches and freshly-baked pastries while beverages include teas, coffees soft drinks and alcoholic options.
Karat is open daily from 6.30am to 2am, which means you can use the restaurant to indulge every whim, from early morning breakfasts and light lunches, through to pre-dinner snacks and night caps. The restaurant also offers a delectable afternoon tea, which can be enjoyed between the hours of 3pm and 6pm. The tea features an array of cakes and cookies which are served alongside Karat’s range of special custom blend premium loose-leaf teas.
Karat is also a family-friendly venue, offering complimentary dining to children who are aged up to five years old, and then 50% off the bill of children aged between six and 11 years old.
