Crumb & Co is a small-batch bakery specialising in gourmet, creative bakes and pastries. Starting off as a delivery service only, the bakery has gone from strength to strength and now has a store and cafe in Motor City, Dubai. For the interiors of this store, you can expect a rather Instagrammable vibe - white marble counters, plenty of light, trailing plants and pink accents throughout. At the counter, you'll find a display cabinet of all the freshly-baked delights on offer that day.
Currently on offer are gourmet doughnuts, croissants and cookies. The kitchen team carefully make each doughnut, frying them until they are golden and crunchy on the outside but still fluffy on the inside. After coating them fully in sugar, the doughnuts are filled with one of sixteen different flavours. Perhaps you'll try the blueberry cream cheese brioche doughnut, or the coco passion (coconut cream with a dash of passionfruit curd); or maybe the doughnut, filled with burnt caramel custard and cream with an autumn-spiced sugar coating, is the one for you. Of course, you'll also find classics like vanilla custard and raspberry jam but popular favourites like tiramisu, passionfruit and banoffee custard might just prove too tempting to resist.
The creativity continues in the rest of the menu with the likes of creme brulee cookies that come with a satisfying, crunchy burnt sugar coating and a gooey custard centre. Of course, you can't beat a simple chocolate and sea salt cookie with the perfect balance of crunchy and chewy. Also on offer are the croissants and pastries; huge, golden, flaky pastries are filled with a variety of delights from custard and raspberry, to pistachio baklava or classic chocolate.
