About

Situated inside the Dubai Mariott Harbour Hotel is Counter Culture Café, an informal dining space with a contemporary canteen-like feel. The light, open plan lounge has a selection of seats in tonal colours mixing browns and burgundy, with plenty of room for larger groups if bringing a few seats and tables together.

As the name suggests, the relaxed vibe invites guests to wander up to the counter and order for themselves, taking a peruse at the selection of brunch classics and sweet treats. One of the restaurant’s signature dishes is its highly-stacked, American-style pancakes, topped with fresh fruit, flowers and drizzled with maple syrup. They look as good as they sound and are definitely a ‘content opportunity’, if you’re into that kind of thing! Take a look at Counter Culture Café’s Instagram page to whet your appetite and we think you’ll be impressed.

Counter Culture Café is also sensitive to a mix of needs and has created bespoke dishes to cater for those who follow Keto or vegetarian diets with dishes such as grilled chicken breast, cooked mushrooms and fresh salad, or a meat-free take on an English breakfast with hash browns, meat-free sausages and tomatoes.

Outside, you’ll find a cute terrace with striped pink and white sofas and comfy seating. This space is perfect for enjoying Dubai’s weather and is a pet friendly, so feel free to bring along your furry friends.

To drink, there are many options across hot beverages, the juice bar and cocktails. If you’re looking for something healthy there are a few smoothies to pick from such as the Next of Kin which blends together açaí, soya yoghurt, green apple juice, banana and berries, or try a fresh press like the Mean Green with apple, celery, spinach and cucumber. As well as all the usual contenders such as coffees, teas and cold brews, don’t miss out on the cocktail section which is buy one get one free every day for happy hour from 4-7pm. Choose between the likes of an Aperol Spritz, Margarita, Mojito or Pina Colada, plus many more, if you’re in the mood for something a little stronger.
