About

Café Beirut is a Lebanese restaurant in Al Murooj Complex Downtown. Comprising both indoor and outdoor spaces, guests are able to dine in the main dining room or on the alfresco terrace. On hot summer days, the outdoor garden area offers impressive views of the Burj Khalifa as well as plenty of communal seating, lush trees which provide pockets of shade and pretty patterned flooring. Indoors, meanwhile, guests are greeted by a traditional ceramic water fountain and an olive tree, reminiscent of the 1950s golden age of Beirut. You'll also find black and white portraits of the era hanging on the walls, while a vast domed ceiling allows bright sunlight to flow into the main room.

The extensive menu caters for every style and mood, from all-day breakfasts to lunch and dinner. Morning diners can choose from the likes of balila with pine nuts, eggs and sujuk, fattet hummus and grilled halloumi. While lunch options include a selection of hot and cold mezze such as labneh with garlic, hummus chicken shawarma and falafel tacos. From the grill section, you might opt to try lamb cutlets, kafta meat or shawarma, alongside lots of delicious dishes from the oven such as warm baked halloumi. You can’t visit Café Beirut without finishing with something sweet. Choose from the likes of knafeh, osmalieh cheesecake, and qatayef with Nutella. Kids are also taken care of with a special children’s menu.

Don’t sleep on Cafe Beirut's soft drink selection either, which includes a range of hot and cold beverages including a tiramisu latte, date frappuccino, Oreoccino and caramel peanut butter milkshake. Other creative concoctions feature exotic ingredients such as kumquat, passion fruit and aloe vera, while detox juices, seasonal fresh juices and coffee are also on offer.
