Scalini is an Italian restaurant located in the Four Seasons Resort on Jumeirah Beach Road where it serves a menu of elegant yet comforting authentic dishes. First opened in London in 1988, Scalini became home to an A-list following due to its authentic and charismatic ambiance served alongside its renowned cuisine. Scalini Dubai is a natural evolution of the well-established brand, maintaining the charm of the original venue with an innovative and exciting new expansion.
The calming dining room boasts soft neutral tones of cream, beige and lots of natural wood, while a mix of contemporary artwork and photography inject subtle glimpses of colour on the walls. An outdoor terrace complete with foliage, smart banquet seating and comfortable cushions combines the indoors with the outdoors perfectly.
With a focus on the finest quality ingredients, the staff will often finish many of the dishes in front of customers to add a touch of theatre to the dining experience. Plates are pretty and luxurious, spanning a generous range of antipasti, pasta, pizza, meat, fish and seafood options. Starters include traditional dishes, such as melanzane alla parmigiana, and more unusual options such as puff pastry with lobster, scampi and prawns in a creamy sauce. Don’t miss one of its homemade pasta dishes, such as taglioni al tartufo nero which sees fresh pasta stirred through a parmesan sauce with shaved black truffle in a Grana Padano wheel.
A cocktail list labelled ‘Scalini Signatures’ features creations inspired by the flavours of southern Italy. The Presca Spritz, for example, is a citrusy take on an Aperol Spritz and combines homemade limoncello with prosecco and white peach. ‘Scalini Coolers’ are the restaurant's bespoke selection of mocktails, while a range of spirits, aperitifs and digestifs are also on offer.
