After opening its doors in 2010, this world-famous chain of Nusr-Et restaurants has taken performance food to another level. The Abu Dhabi edition of the popular steakhouse is located in the Galleria level of the Four Seasons Hotel.
The restaurant is great for celebrity and royal spotting, due to the popularity of the owner Nusret Gökçe, a Turkish butcher and restrateur as ‘Salt Bae’. His internet fame has a base in reality too, as the food is highly praised and extolled by punters. The restaurant is definitely a top destination for meat-lovers to immerse themselves in steakhouse culture which has been levelled up.
The popular restaurant specialises in Turkish barbecue, steaks, and sets of ribs, which are de-boned and salted at the table. Nusr-et offers a sumptuous selection of premium cuts of beef and wagyu steak in Nusret’s signature style. Meatballs, burgers, and Turkish foods are available too, plus more decadent option of 24-karat steaks and spaghetti made out of thinly sliced strips of meat are loved by patrons.
The interior of the restaurant is elegant and modern, with gold and wooden tones throughout. The atmosphere is buzzy and exciting, as moustachioed waiters serve up the prime cuts with the Nusr-et flourish. The restaurant is unique in its over-the-top celebration of steaks and aims to put on a show for each customer, whatever they order. The steak tasting menu and the Nusret specials are highlights of the menu.
While the steaks definitely take centre stage for being melt-in-the mouth delectable, the sides are well-executed and the beef carpaccio is commended by patrons. The baklava rounds off the hearty meal very well, and is also excellently prepared and plated.
