About

The indoor, outdoor space of Lebanese restaurant Min Zaman at the Al Ain Rotana hotel in Dubai makes it perfect, whatever the weather.

Grab a table outside, overlooking the pool to enjoy a balmy evening with a view over the lush gardens and crustal clear pool, or choose a spot inside during the heat of the day to revel in an hour or two’s respite from the hot sun. Whichever area you choose the décor is clean and modern, decked out in neutral tones to fit with the rest of the hotel’s modern design. Inside there’s a touch more theming with arched alcoves and feature lighting creating a warm, Middle Eastern vibe.

The menu is extensive, featuring all the classics as well as some more unusual dishes. Begin with hot and cold mezze – hummus, mutable aubergine dip, fattoush salad and grilled halloumi, for instance – before moving on to the grill section. Here you’ll find a whole host of options, ranging from meat and fish to vegetarian. With all options chargrilled you can expect that classically smoky flavour to permeate through everything. Baby chicken is accompanied by potato wedges, grilled bell peppers and garlic cream, while lobster is served with prawns, hamour fish and calamari for an indulgent seafood feast.

One of the most enticing things about Min Zaman is the entertainment. Throughout your meal you will be treated to live entertainment. Possible snippets you’ll see include an oriental band, a live singer and even belly dancers.

After dinner why not plump for one of the restaurant’s shisha pipe options to see out the rest of the evening? These can be set up around the pool area giving you a cool, relaxing spot to unwind.

Staff here are friendly and helpful, so don’t hesitate to ask if there is something you want that you can’t see on the menu.
