Junsui is a pan-Asian restaurant at the stunning Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, the five star hotel which has become a signature part of Dubai’s epic skyline. Sitting on a mezzanine level within the main hotel, Junsui is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and prides itself on being family friendly.
Bringing the kids doesn’t mean having to sacrifice on style here, with the restaurant’s glitzy interiors regularly pulling crowds who are keen for a photo opportunity. Here, the ceiling is bedecked with Swarovski crystals that create a glittering canopy above you as you dine, while the expansive windows give incredible views of the turquoise blue sea out ahead.
This luxurious setting is coupled with an indulgent buffet offering, that allows diners to sample a whole range of dishes from the pan-Asian lineup. Live cooking stations add theatre, where you can watch the chefs at work grilling teriyaki skewers, for instance, with flames flaring to the ceiling making for a real spectacle. This fun twist also ensures you know your food is as fresh as it can be, and unlike some other buffets hasn’t been left sitting around for hours on end.
In keeping with the restaurant’s seaside position, fish and shellfish are a hero item here. Tuck into plump clams, beautiful king crab or fresh oysters, or go for a range of sushi creations - from classic serves to modern interpretations of this classic Japanese dish. Elsewhere in the extensive lineup you’ll find crisp, golden tempura, plump dumplings filled with everything from chicken to prawns, and fried rice and noodles too. This range of options ensures everyone in your party should be kept happy, including little guests, making it a great dining destination for when you’re travelling with a mixed group.
For breakfast and lunch there’s a casual dress policy, while at dinner you see things ramped up slightly to smart casual, in keeping with the luxurious setting.
