This tiny homegrown Peruvian restaurant has quickly gained a reputation for some of the best ceviche in Dubai. What started as the chef/ owner’s love of home cooking has now evolved into one of Dubai’s most exciting restaurants.

Owner and chef Penelope Diaz is a self-taught Peruvian chef who began her love of food by simply cooking for neighbours and friends. Due to the popularity of her food, this quickly became a catering business and has since led to the opening of her very first restaurant serving authentic Peruvian cuisine in this unlicenced, hole-in-the-wall style gem within the Jumeirah Lakes Towers area.

It’s easy to lose yourself in the fine dining offerings of JLT, however sometimes it’s a warm and welcoming restaurant you are looking for, offering great food without the fuss. Of course it’s the ceviche that is at the heart of the menu but you will also find options like salty grilled octopus, seafood rice that is piled high and crispy potatoes. The menu is ever evolving as only the freshest available produce is used.

The restaurant seats around 20 and a further six can be seated outside. The walls are adorned with Peruvian flags, cookbooks and postcards which gives a homely feel to this intimate restaurant. The ethos behind Fusion Ceviche is to bring people together over great food. The restaurant uses only the freshest ingredients and Chef Penelope Diaz’s modern take on traditional culinary techniques.
