With luxurious interiors, a world-class menu and some of the most beautiful views of the city, City Social Dubai is the jewel in the crown of Jason Atherton’s UAE restaurant empire. Here you’ll find – true to form – Atherton’s signature high-end, playful cookery style that showcases some of the most indulgent ingredients you can find anywhere. With a clutch of global Michelin star restaurants in his belt, Atherton introduced this additional Dubai site in 2023.
If you're staying for dinner, kick things off with your choice of caviar and classic garnishes before moving onto snacking plates of oysters and crispy Patagonian squid with lemon and chilli. Starters include Devon crab, which is served with Nashi pear, pickled mooli, ponzu and dill oil, celery and samphire foam for a light, refreshing initial course. Elsewhere there are options like aged beef tartare, Norwegian salmon, king crab, roasted scallops, lobster, and quail.
The mains section is split between pasta and rice dishes, classic dishes, and a wood-fired menu where steaks and seafood come infused with a good dose of charcoal smokiness. Here you’ll find Wagyu tomahawk, Isle of Mull lobster, and rib of beef for two, as well as a family-style sharing platter of aged Cornish turbot.
Come dessert there’s a short but sweet selection of Atherton’s famous puddings, include the City Social Ice Cream Game that has won legions of fans since its initial invention in London. Here, in the UAE, you’ll be treated to the same challenge where five white ice creams are served to you ‘blind’ for you to have to guess their flavours. A word of warning: it’s not as easy as it sounds.
Here at City Social there’s also a bar, which guests are free to drink and dine at if they prefer. Expect an expertly-devised cocktail menu plus nibbles and bar food to snack on while you soak up the sky-high views.
