BiCE Mare is a perennially popular restaurant in Dubai and is part of the Milan-based BiCE group, who operate a handful of restaurants in the area.
BiCE Mare benefits from a stunning location inside the Burj Khalifa, an iconic skyscraper which clocks in at 829.8 metres high and has been the world’s largest structure and building since its topping back in 2009. The restaurant boasts smart and sophisticated interiors, including cobalt blue chairs, cream walls and a small window on one side of the room which offers a view into the kitchen.
BiCE Mare’s menu takes its inspiration from Italy, although seafood is a big part of proceedings too. In the traditional Italian style, much of the food menu is designed to share, with dishes brought to your table as and when they are ready. If you’re paying a visit, you can feast on the likes of fried calamari or marinated Angus beef carpaccio to start, before moving on to more substantial dishes such as Roman-style fettucine with parmesan cream and black truffle, or perhaps grilled Wagyu tenderloin with Cardoncelli mushroom, polenta and green peppercorn sauce.
The seafood selection is well suited to large groups, with options including grilled lobster served with butter and a herb sauce, and grilled whole Dover sole which is served with a served with a Dill and Lemon vinaigrette.
Desserts are also inspired by Italian staples, and are as decadent as they come – think a traditional tiramisu, warm chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream or double vanilla ice cream with espresso and whipped cream. You can pair your desserts with a glass of wine from BiCE Mare’s accomplished international list, or splash out on a whole bottle.
BiCE Mare’s trump card is its al fresco terrace, which offers breath-taking views of Dubai’s skyline, as well as a front-row seat for the grand Dubai Mall fountain show, which takes place periodically throughout the day and night.
