The Holiday Inn’s Al-Anwar restaurant specialises in Mughlai-themed dining and is a great option for hotel guests and punters in the area looking for a good Indian meal. The restaurant does themed nights and a wonderful buffet, which is ideal for patrons who enjoy a variety of foods to choose from. The location is excellent too, centrally located in the city of Dubai, or just great for hotel guests to grab a bite before heading off to explore the metropolis.
The stunning restaurant is located in the atrium of the hotel and is decorated in white and gold tones. The open-style restaurant is sophisticated and great for casual dinners amongst friends or family. The dining area is situated underneath the lobby’s glass dome – bringing lots of lovely natural lighting in.
The Al-Anwar restaurant prepares a full spread of a buffet daily, replete with all the traditional Indian fare, served with a real flourish by the staff. There is a hot dishes area, a salad bar area, and even a live dessert station where you can have classic Indian sweets such as pera and jalebi made fresh to order.
The food at the restaurant is happily served by a staff of friendly waiters and the chef dutifully churns out hearty Mughal-inspired dishes to hungry patrons. Highlights of the menu include the stuffed kulcha, hot rotis (made in front of you), and the traditional biriyani. The chefs make colourful renditions of papar chaat in a variety of colours and flavours. For dessert do try the pistachio kulfi with all the toppings or the malpua sweet gulab jamuns, which are fried doughnuts, soaked in a sugary syrup.
The restaurant also serves a lavish breakfast buffet from early morning until 11am. The lunch and dinner service are available as a buffet or a la carte.
