Being in the Mall means Asha's is perfectly placed for those who need a break from a day of shopping - relax in Asha's typically regal, opulent interiors and enjoy the restaurant's signature hospitality and north west Indian cooking.
Those who have visited Asha's in Abu Dhabi or Dubai will know what to expect from the interiors - a striking purple and gold colour scheme, with chairs and cushions upholstered in luxurious fabrics that feature Indian motifs, and Indian ornaments and artworks lining the walls. As well as the main dining room, Asha's Abu Dhabi has a number of private dining areas available for small groups to hire.
Asha's regional Indian menu explores the culinary traditions of the country's north west reaches, with authentic dishes that celebrate centuries of tradition. The menu is packed with showstopper dishes, from the rampuri paya biryani - a magnificent biryani, cooked overnight with baby lamb, saffron, raisin and lamb jus - and the sizzlers nihari raan - a boneless leg of lamb cooked for 10 hours, then chargrilled in a roasting-hot tandoor and served with a velvety saffron and rose sauce.
The full menu takes in a selection of classic Mughal appetisers, kebabs from the tandoor, curries, rices, breads and vegetable sides. Curry fans will be pleased to see an excellent chicken tikka masala on the menu, as well as a butter chicken, and there are plenty of vegetarian options available as well.
The cocktail menu is also worth checking out, as Asha's mixes up a number of signature cocktails. Try the Delhi Devil (pomegranate, mint, lemon and ginger) or the Maotai (lemongrass, bird's eye chilli, coriander and coconut water). There's also a compact but excellent selection of refreshing lassis to try out too.
